Hard Work Meets Prosperity

Times have been hard but with a new year comes new blessings and new opportunities. My vision of 7 years is coming to light; piece by piece my calling is starting to make more sense. I have learned lessons of trial, of love and of patience. In the years since I got a life changing vision, I have encountered and have had to deal with the battle of spiritual warfare in high places; and according to Ephesians 6:12 the word of God instructs us that, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” But to God be the glory I have overcome. It wasn’t easy, I cried and at times I became stagnant but I never gave up. My vision is one of peace and of solidarity both qualities that the world as we know it today lacks. However, I am here today as a testament to the ideology of hard work paying off. Now Is The Time

In accordance with Pastor Dion’s devotional titled “By My Spirit,” I want to thank God for resting his presence of the Holy Spirit upon my life which enabled me to fulfill the vision that he bestowed upon my heart through the presence of the Holy Spirit for my company PLB FASHION http://www.plbfashion.com. PLB stands for peace, love, blessings. The devotional today is just another confirmation that the presence of the Holy Spirit is upon my life. It took countless trials, tribulations, and battling of spiritual warfare to get to this point. However, the word of God assures in Deuteronomy 31:6 to, “be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” The word of God also assures is in John 16:33 that, “these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

My Story

I am a miracle child who survived being hit by a truck and underwent major brain surgery at a tender age of 3 years old. I know that God spared my life for a reason, and I believe my purpose for being in this world aligns with spreading the love of Christ. I want to be able to help as many people as possible because it breaks my heart to see people suffer; especially the children. Matthew 19:14 (KJV) reads, “But Jesus said, Suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” We live in a cold and dark world with merciless people, and a lack of peace, love and blessings to bring about world peace and unity.

In 2013, PLB Fashion President Kerryann Ivey, prayed one night and asked God to reveal an idea to her that will help her to provide for the needy and change the world. That same night she had a dream that the Lord gave to her, and she is sharing it with the world. The dream, a clear vision from God, was an image of a heart with the message of peace, love and blessings inside of the heart. She was extremely excited about the vision and decided that she will print the design on t-shirts. Three years later by the grace of God, several people have expressed in her life that now, is the time to launch PLB Fashion.

Ecclesiastes 3 (KJV) verse 1 state, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Therefore, it was not Kerryann’s time to launch PLB Fashion in 2013. However, with clear signs and confirmation from God, and according to Hebrews 11:6 which states, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him,” Kerryann has decided to step out in faith by launching PLB Fashion, a faith based online Christian clothing store committed to uplifting minds, breaking down walls, and building bridges which will in turn allow PLB Fashion to help change the world and unite the human race.

The Valley

PLB FASHION Reflection

The valley doesn’t have to be a bad place. The valley could be a place of transition and mental rebirth depending on ones mindset. The valley could be a place of peace which allows one to self reflect. The valley could be a place of accepting that one cannot change the past, but being grateful that one still has life to experience the great future that lies ahead. The valley could be a place where visions, ideas, dreams and goals become clear because being in the valley allows one to block out the noises of the haters, naysayers, and dream killers; while focusing on oneself and God because when it’s all said and done the only person that one has to answer to is God and God alone.

Selflessness

Throughout my journey in this life, I have found selflessness to be a very important attribute. My number one desire as a God fearing woman is to live Christ like. When Jesus Christ walked the earth he teached his disciples, and others that he came in contact with the importance of being more concern with the needs and wishes of others than with one’s own. I have a passion and a strong desire to help others no matter how small my generosity may be. I believe that if every single human being on the face of this earth were to practice selflessness then the world would be a better place. Moreover, God would be quite pleased. Jesus Christ gave a perfect example of selflessness in Matthew 25:31-46 (KJV)

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

Armour of God

Ephesians‬ ‭6:11-12 KJV‬‬ instructs us to, “put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” King David is a good example of one who experienced the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of the world, and spiritual wickedness in high places that Ephisians 6:12 KJV describes. In fact, the attacks upon King David was so overbearing that he had no other choice but to “radically” cry out to God. King David told God to do some horrible things to his enemies and God did not turn him away. In fact, God heard his cry and came to his rescue. For example, according to Psalms‬ ‭143:1-12‬ KJV‬‬ King David’s tells God:

“Here my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.”

King David did not take matters into his own hand, he cried out to God and God responsed to his cry in Psalms 110:1 which reads, “the LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. According to Romans 12:19 KJV God instructs us as follows, “dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Whatever it is that you’re going through today, refrain from taking matters into your own hands. Take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there. Trust that God will fight you’re battles for you. The best result is when God is involved in the midst of whatever it is that you may be facing. Forgive your adverseries and enemies. If you want to cut all ties with your adverseries and enemies that’s perfectly fine; just don’t harbor any anger, bitterness, unforgiveness in your heart towards them. Just like King David, we too can “radically” cry out to God. John 5:14 assures us, “and this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” Make sure you put on the whole armour of God 24/7 so that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Selfless or Selfish?

While at the restaurant yesterday, I said to my friend that I was so hungry that I couldn’t comprehend. I then said to her that if I feel this way, imagine how someone feels inside who is suffering from starvation. I then said to her imagine how those kids feel when they are hungry, and having those big stomachs in front of them. She then said with all those worms in their stomachs.

This is the world that we live in people. No one should have to endure starvation with all the wealth in the world. This is why the word of God says, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24 King James Version (KJV)

Jesus was all about feeding the poor, healing the sick, and comforting the loss. You can’t take the money with you to the grave when you die, so why not be more generous when it comes to helping those in need? Why not disperse your wealth wisely to families in need, as long as you’re not leaving yourself bankrupt? God is the one who blessed you with the wealth that you have today, and God can take that wealth away from you instantly if he wanted to. Therefore, use your wealth to live a Christ like life. ~ Kerryann Ivey

Esther

Esther became the queen in 479 B.C and her husband was King Ahasuerus. She succeeded Queen Vashti. Esther was personally chosen by the king. “The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found favor and kindness with him” (2:17), probably because of her beauty and intelligence. The purpose of the book of Esther was to demonstrate God’s love and sovereignty in all circumstances. The box is a post-exile story about the Jews who stayed behind after most returned to Jerusalem after captivity. Babylon was captured by Persia and Esther miraculously became the queen of the land, and saves his people. None of this would not have happened if God not the orchestrator behind it. This essay will take a look into the history of Esther.

Esther was a very beautiful and intelligent woman which is why the King loves her more than all the woman and found favor and kindness with her. She refused to bow down and pay homage to Haman a high official of the king. Haman then becomes infuriated and plots to destroy all the Jews in the kingdom because of his pride. However, Mordecai hears of the plot and reports it to his Esther. “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?” (4:14).

Esther defeats and then takes her petition to the king that she is a Jew and that Haman has plotted to kill them. She pleas for the protection of her Jewish people from Haman’s wicked strategy. After the King heard from Esther what Haman has plotted, events became drastic and the king out of anger and rage, has Haman hung on the gallows, which he had built to destroy all the Jews. Hamans children were killed as well. Esther’s faith in God and courage not to be intimidated by Haman saves her people. Easters life can teach us several vitals lessens:

“There is a preparation time.

She allowed herself to be prepared for the task. God’s preparation time can sometimes be long and uneventful. Moses spent 40 years in the desert looking after sheep before coming to deliver the Israelites. The refining of our characters is very essential to God’s plan for our life. God cannot use a proud woman (or man).

We need the favour of God.

Esther found favour with the King and so did Mordecai. Even Jesus grew in favour with God and man (Luke 2:52). When you live a life pleasing to God, by obeying His will you will find favour with Him. God will also give you favour with people.

God works in His own time and season.

Esther got her timing right. Maybe God has put it on your heart to do something for Him. Don’t just jump into it but wait for his time. Joseph was in jail until it was God’s time for him to be released. God will move in His time when we remain faithful and alert to His leading.

Your background does not hinder your future with God.

Esther was an orphan. God still exalted her and used her. Some of Jesus’ disciples were fishermen, tax collectors and one was a doctor. Your background does not determine what God can do with you. Your faith does.”

Understanding the Word of God!

Dear Lord through the continuous reading of your word I understand why the people of this world are so jealous and envious and wicked. It all started when you created man in your own image. Through the reading of your word I know why human beings are so betrayal toward each other and that’s because brothers betrayed brothers in the Bible just like they betray each other today. For example, (Cain and Able) & (Esau and Jacob) & (Jacob and his brothers) Through the reading of your word I understand that mothers and fathers showed favoritism toward their children just like they do today. For example, (Rebekah and Isaac) & (Jacob and Joseph)

On the other hand, through the reading of your word I know that you have turned around the evil that Joseph brothers did to him by selling him into slavery for your good dear Lord. Therefore, you will continue to do the same for those who seek after and find you. We live in a destructive world, and human beings have been disobedient since Adam and Eve. You destroyed the world once as a way of bringing everyone back to your perfect plan. However, nothing has changed according to Genesis 8:21 KJV:

“And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.”

To conclude, one can only gain true peace of mind through the reading and understanding of Gods word. When you understand Gods word, you will also understand why the world is headed for destruction. However, believers in Christ should not be scared because the word of God instructs us in Ephesians 6:11-13 KJV to:

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Trust God

God can turn a hot mess into a success. God can turn depression into progression.
God can use your enemies to bless you, and he will fight you’re battles for you, just be still and know that he is God.

God can use your sinful, shameful life as a testimony for his glory. You’re never too disgraceful to be used by God because God doesn’t show favoritism. He loves us all the same.

Don’t doubt God, instead trust God because he will never leave you or forsake you. Use the dark period in your life to build up that mustard seed faith that the word of God speaks of. Trust that in the midst of your trials and tribulations, God will come through for you because weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Finally, the word of God teaches us that the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Therefore, we must meditate on the word of God 24/7. We must do according to Ephesians 6:11-18 King James Version (KJV):

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
